Free Motion Friday
I've finished the Bamboo on all but one of the larger blocks in my table scarf. I was rather worried about doing free motion on this piece. I wanted it to be perfect. Bamboo was a great choice. Instead of trying to make the lines straight, I had to try to make them wiggle, just enough. And for the segment lines to curve down.
I'm rather pleased at how it has turned out. I need to find a complementary pattern for the four square in square blocks. Not sure yet what I will do there.
Take care all.

I love your color choices for this. Spring will come. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the bamboo quilting you did. It looks great...and so well executed!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat is a neat design. You did a great job. The quilt is wonderful and I, too, love the colors you chose. I think bamboo is a quilting pattern I could actually do with my limited skills.
ReplyDeleteThe bamboo looks great. Also, if we all waited until we were perfect to jump into quilting, we'd never do it.
ReplyDeleteI like your color choices. For the squares, you could pick a pattern you are comfortable with and add a twist, like maybe if you are comfortable with stippling, stipple and add a leaf every now and then.
Really nice design. I think it would be beautiful in a border where you don't want it to take away from the quilt but need more than just a fill in.
