Free Motion Friday

I've finished the Bamboo on all but one of the larger blocks in my table scarf. I was rather worried about doing free motion on this piece. I wanted it to be perfect. Bamboo was a great choice. Instead of trying to make the lines straight, I had to try to make them wiggle, just enough. And for the segment lines to curve down.

I'm rather pleased at how it has turned out. I need to find a complementary pattern for the four square in square blocks. Not sure yet what I will do there.

Take care all.

  3. That is a neat design. You did a great job. The quilt is wonderful and I, too, love the colors you chose. I think bamboo is a quilting pattern I could actually do with my limited skills.

  4. The bamboo looks great. Also, if we all waited until we were perfect to jump into quilting, we'd never do it.

I like your color choices. For the squares, you could pick a pattern you are comfortable with and add a twist, like maybe if you are comfortable with stippling, stipple and add a leaf every now and then.

  5. Really nice design. I think it would be beautiful in a border where you don't want it to take away from the quilt but need more than just a fill in.
